The Gift - An Advent Series
The Gift - An Advent Series
The Gift: A 3-week Christmas series.
Sermon Texts: Matthew 2:1-12, Matthew 2:7-11; Lk. 19:10;
Series Description: Christmas is a beautiful time of year. It’s a season full of celebration, wonder, and even tradition. For some, Christmas is a time of year that is heartbreaking and serves as a reminder of what/whom may have been lost. Followers of Jesus throughout history have observed the four Sundays leading to Christmas as the season of Advent. The word Advent means “coming” or “arrival”. In this series, we will investigate Jesus’ arrival as King, Priest, and Sacrifice. Through studying these roles, students will not only be able to see the true meaning of Christmas, but also have a fuller understanding of the story of God and how God’s arrival in the person of Jesus is good news for their daily lives.
