Rhythms of Grace - Growing in the Spiritual Disciplines
Rhythms of Grace - Growing in the Spiritual Disciplines
Rhythms of Grace: A 4-weeks series on the spiritual disciplines.
Sermon Texts: Jn.5:39-40; Matt.22:34-40; Luke 11:1-4; Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 28:16-20
Series Description: As people who follow Jesus, we are considered to be His disciples. This simply means that – through the Spirit’s power – we are learning to be with Jesus in order to embody His teachings for His mission. Throughout Scripture we see a variety of ways that Jesus and the people of God have learned to commune with God. Historically these have been referred to, by the Church, as the spiritual disciplines or spiritual rhythms. The purpose of these rhythms is not simply to do them, but to grow in our relationship with Jesus. They take practice. At times, they may not even be enticing. But these beautiful rhythms of grace are designed to create space for Christ to meet us and form us into the people He has called us to be.
